Susan Mumford, MInstSMM MA FRSA MPSA

A game-changer in the 21st Century art world, Susan’s an entrepreneur, mentor, speaker, moderator and author. While running a gallery in Soho, London, she founded the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD), a non-profit trade network that has developed into three chapters: London, New York and Global. AWAD’s mission is to facilitate business and collaborations between and for women art dealers. Several years later, she started a social enterprise called Be Smart About Art, for which the motto is: “Art is your life. Make it your living.” This online-accessible platform helps creative professionals thrive in a changing world. In late 2015, her first book was published: Art is your life. Make it your living. While she’s based in London, Susan spends a notable time travelling to the USA and Continental Europe, visiting art fairs, delivering lectures, running panel discussions and more.
