Create high impact video content for next to no budget.

This is an external event being run by accomplished speaker (and an associate of BSAA Founder Susan Mumford) Eamonn O'Brien and his colleague Amanda Webb, an award-winning blogger. Professionals in the art world naturally create 'high value content', which is ideal for helping you to get noticed, gain traction and see results, from generating sales to getting press.

How to use video as art world professional? Here are some ideas, to name but a few:
> Behind-the-scenes insight of studios and galleries
> Tours of shows and fairs
> Interviews with artists, gallerists, curators and others

And once you create video content, it can be shared time and time again. A great start for short clips is sharing on Instagram, which still maintains its status as the number one platform for the art world as of summer 2017.

Whether you're camera shy or don't know how to get video seen, this half-day workshop with Eamonn and Amanda will provide great insight and inspiration!

ABOUT THE EVENT:

At this hands-on workshops (smartphone required) uncover how to:

  • Decide what videos you should make
  • Use apps and tools to create better quality videos
  • Be your best, relaxed self in front of camera
  • Keep people watching your live broadcasts (with the sound on)
  • How to promote your videos - so they're seen and shared

Be prepared to shoot videos and participate at this event

Are you tired of people telling you that you should be doing video online?

You've seen the stats, video works but how can you create it quickly and cheaply?

  • Cisco projects that global Internet traffic from videos will make up 80% of all Internet traffic by 2019
  • By 2017, online video will account for 74% of all online traffic (KPCB).
  • 55% of people watch videos online every day (MWP).
  • 65% of video viewers watch more than ¾ of a video (Syndacast).
  • 85% of Facebook video is watched without sound (Digiday).
  • 59% of executives agree that if both text and video are available on the same topic, they are more likely to choose video (MWP).

Do you really have to get in front of the camera?

In this workshop we'll teach you how to make quality video from your smartphone. You'll learn about planning, shooting and editing. Eamonn will teach you techniques for getting comfortable in front of camera.

You'll also get the opportunity to shoot and appear in videos on the day
